TRUTH VIRUS RECORDS BANDS

TVR puts people before profits unlike the major record labels in the industry, allowing an affordable option for bands to record their music, reach a larger audience, book with more venues, and manage their personal and financial responsibilities with ease.

Band Bios and Links:

Revibe is comprised of four people who share a passion for music and happened to be in the right place at the right time (in the form of a chicken wing delivery service). They are often described as a “jam band,” which is accurate given the tendency for exploratory improvisation. To make the assumption that they can be easily compared to any number of prominent groups dubbed with this title, however, is quite misleading. Their genre and style is hard to pin down as it changes show to show and song to song as the band members’ diverse musical tastes and backgrounds, drawn from experiences in both listening and playing, shine through. In addition to their unique approach to musical exploration, they take great care in their composition and carefully craft their material to provide familiar islands in a sea of improvisation. Whether previously sculpted or created in the moment, expect to hear everything from jazz to trance, funk to rock or any fusion of their varied collection of genres. One thing is sure, you’ll always end up dancing.

Dedication to keeping their setlists fresh and always writing new material makes them worth catching when the opportunity arises. Emerging as an upcoming force in the Northeast live music scene, Revibe strives to define the sum of hard work, dedication, and passion for the sonic arts. Still fresh off the release of their debut studio album Stitched In Fiction, the band continues to expand their touring territory to provide their growing fanbase with new material, and will do so as long as inspiration guides the way. The band always celebrates returning to their home base of Burlington, Vermont, where a dedicated and ever-expanding following gathers regularly to help battle the Cratch and celebrate the vibe. But what is the Cratch, you ask? Come to a performance and find out for yourself…

AUGUST WEST AND FRIENDS:

August West and Friends are an extreme talent within the New England music scene! Members hail from all over New England, creating a collection of seasoned musicians that have been in the business of sound for collectively over 40 years. They are a Grateful Dead cover band supergroup that consists of members from The Worthy Bones, The Rhythm Ship, Merther, Fules Gold, Between Dead Stations, Bolidoscope, Hambone, The Northside Ramblers, Singepole Mountain Band, Tomorrow Morning, sirEEL, and Mudseason! They can play one show as a rock band, complete with lead and rhythm guitars, bass, keyboards, and two drummers; the following night they can play a DeadGrass set, with banjo, violin, harmonica, and acoustic guitars. August West and Friends provides a unique experience that the avid fan will enjoy, yet they are always able to blow minds within the jams and explore new genres and sounds out of the old folk songs of the Dead that we know and love.

JORDAN KAULBACK:

Jordan Kaulback is a one man wrecking machine of music and love. This talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist will put a smile on your face and some groove in your step! Jordan is a pure spirit greatly inspired by the one-man-bands Keller Williams and Zach Deputy. He will overlay vocals, guitar, keyboards, drum beats, AND beatbox, all live! He loops and orchestrates all his own music right on stage and it is truly a sight to behold. His songs of love, gratitude, happiness, and family will always brighten your day. Jordan is quickly becoming a force to be recognized within the New England music scene and beyond.

SUMMIT:

Summit's story is a classic one. Summer Nadya met Cassandra English in grade school, and they quickly became best friends. They taught themselves guitar as teenagers, and wrote their very first song together. In high school, Summer and Cassandra met the extremely talented Erick Tripp. They lost touch after high school, but Summer Nadya and Cassandra English continued to play music separately. Summer Nadya, who has been a solo performer for years, and Cassandra English reunited last year and immediately started writing songs together. Summer's boyfriend Dave Cip started contributing, as well as Erick Tripp, who is Cassandra's boyfriend. The music flowed and they all became SUMMIT. Their folk rock musical style, along with their beautiful singing and songwriting, will touch the deepest parts of your soul.

BOLIDOSCOPE:

Bolidoscope consists of six well-seasoned, seacoast New Hampshire area musicians. With a history of performing the northeast for over 20 years in bands like Wize Crackaz, The Rhythm Ship, Slow Bill, The Nearly Normal and Jack Of All Trades, the members have taken a few roads and gained much from their experience. The journey lead to some amazing adventures, providing opportunities to play with some greats like Vince Welnick of The Grateful Dead, The Brew, Hot Day At The Zoo, Roots Of Creation, and many more. The shattered fragments of these past projects gave birth to a cosmic energy that has brought this diverse group of seasoned players to form a bolide of blinding energy.  The literal meaning of their name, to witness a meteor explode in the universe, is a beautiful metaphor for what you will witness on stage. Their high energy propulsion will surely blow you away, make you groove, and forget the pressures of this planet for a moment. When Bolidoscope comes at you with bluesy leads, crafted harmonies , explosive percussion and funky bass lines, you'll want to jump on the tails of the bolide and take a ride deep into the cosmos.

NOONDAY CRAWLERS:

Noonday Crawlers are a Portland, ME based band that blends many styles including rock, blues, americana,  and psychedelic jam music. They aim to produce music that jumps genres from song to song; and sometimes from measure to measure. It's music from the heart, built around Jeff Grinner's songwriting and a sound that is original. The Noonday Crawlers have had many notable shows, two of their favorites being the supporting act for legendary New England jam band Max Creek at the Port City Music Hall, and getting to share the stage at Freedom Field for their ‘Heads in Harmony’ festival. The band recently released their first full length LP, “The Desert of When”, recorded at Acadia Recording Studios in Portland, ME.

FROJYA:

Frøjya (pron. Fruh-ya) connects the darkness with the light, beauty with strength, and the past with the future. After thirteen years of chaos both on and off the stage, two studio albums, television appearances, dozens of music festivals and hundreds of shows, a major lineup change inspired Rhythm Ship members Maggie Woods, Aaron Johnson & Doug Knutsen to take the band in a new direction. With so much history, they bear the scars of many battles lost and won. In the process, they've built a strong foundation and shaped their sound: wild intelligent soul; a spiritual story that roars to life crackling with energy and soaked with emotion; a sort of heavy jazz wrenched from the soul of the earth.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU:

People Like You is a freewheelin' "freak folk" band from Portsmouth, NH. It's music by the people, for the people, with no specific "people" in mind. Juxtaposing psychedelic alt-rock madness and gypsy-folk mischief with curious vocal/lyrical content and bizarre pop sensibilities, the sound is charismatic, inspired, a bit haunting, kooky, and captivating. It is strange, yet familiar like a new friend you swear you've known all of your life. It's the kind of thing that'll kick your brain, rattle your bones, drop your jaw, tickle your fancy, turn your head and make you say, "Huh... I can get down with that." The shows are amusing to say the least and an open invitation for everyday people, the straights, the freakers, and the funkies to get in on it, get weird, have a ball, and be a part of it all, giving light to the name People Like You.
